In-house machine vision plus human re-checking judges every slab's defects, micro-cracks, color difference and dimensions — making quality measurable, comparable and traceable.
Stone quality has long relied on a master inspector's "eye" — standards that vary by person and by batch, leaving owners and supervisors with nothing objective to accept against. We believe quality should never rest on feeling alone.
HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED embeds an in-house machine-vision system into the production line with a human re-check workflow: every slab is judged twice on surface defects, micro-cracks, color difference and dimensions, and every batch receives a traceable quality record that project teams can query at handover or during after-sales maintenance.
High-resolution line-scan cameras sweep the full slab face, automatically detecting pits, cracks, color spots, water marks and repair traces at a sensitivity beyond visual sampling.
A colorimeter measures every slab in a batch and auto-groups them by ΔE value; a single installation area is supplied only from the same ΔE group, controlling perceived color difference at the source.
Thickness, diagonals and flatness are re-measured in line and compared against CNC data; out-of-tolerance pieces are flagged and quarantined automatically.
Every slab carries a unique code linked to quarry, batch, inspection imagery and measured data — a complete quality file retrievable by code at any time.
| Inspection Items | Surface defects, micro-cracks, color difference ΔE, thickness, diagonals, flatness, gloss |
| Judgement Mechanism | Machine-vision first pass + human inspector re-check; dual confirmation before grading |
| Colour Grading | Per-area ΔE grouping for supply, reducing zonal color-difference risk |
| Quality Records | Traceable per-batch files with inspection imagery and measured data, queryable by slab code |
| Inspection Points | Five nodes: raw intake, cutting, machining, protection completion, packing & dispatch |
Every incoming slab is scanned and filed on arrival, natural features and defects mapped for later layout and material selection.
Dimensional checkpoints sit between cutting and CNC operations; any drift triggers immediate equipment calibration.
The vision system sweeps every finished slab in full; the colorimeter measures each piece; machine verdict and human re-check must both pass.
Approved slabs are grouped, coded and photographed by batch; quality records are linked to dispatch documents.
After handover, owners and managers retrieve original inspection data by slab code — maintenance and replacement always have evidence.
