The international stadium is built around "durability and ceremony": 30 mm bush-hammered Steel Grey Granite for the 50,000-seat bowl and public areas delivers durability, Botticino warm stone for the VIP boxes and victory banquets creates ceremony, and mirror-polished Absolute Black Granite for the chairman's platform and athlete tunnel projects refinement — three principal stones balance "outdoor durability" and "indoor ceremony" across the sports architecture.
HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED Stone supplied and installed all stone for the 29,000 ㎡ main bowl: 20,000 ㎡ of tiered seating treads and risers, 5,000 ㎡ of public corridors and athlete tunnel, 3,000 ㎡ of VIP areas and boxes, 1,000 ㎡ of façade and outdoor plaza. Delivered zone by zone over 26 months while the season kept running — 60+ events a year with zero disruption.
Three principal stones cover every scenario across the 50,000-seat bowl and all indoor/outdoor areas, unifying outdoor durability, ceremony and wear resistance.

Six stages from 3D scanning to zoned handover — 26 months, the season kept running.
360° laser scanning of the 50,000-seat bowl and the whole stadium produced millimetre-level point clouds, resolving 526 structural deviations and spectator interface points in advance.
20,000 ㎡ of Steel Grey bush-hammered thick slabs pre-assembled and numbered by seating zone, producing piece-by-piece installation drawings aligned with the zoned works program.
Five-axis CNC machined 20,000 ㎡ of 30 mm bush-hammered granite and 12,000 linear metres of seating caps to a tolerance of ±0.5 mm.
The seating bowl's 30 mm thick slabs travelled in steel-framed wooden crates — zero breakage throughout city delivery.
A 50-tonne mobile crane with vacuum lifters installed to the zoned program; night transport avoided event peaks.
Seating joints sealed with MS Polymer modified silane sealant, UV- and ozone-resistant, no cracking across -40 °C to 90 °C thermal cycles; 50-year design life.
Craft details up close — in a major stadium, precision hides in the millimetres and the seals.
Seating stone is fixed with M12 stainless-steel back-bolts plus three-way adjustable aluminium brackets, capacity ≥8 kN per point; one panel loosening does not affect its neighbors.
Seating treads have a 30 mm drainage channel with 12 L/min/m drainage capacity; rainwater cleared within 5 minutes during heavy rain.
Seating stone with six-sided fluorocarbon protective coating plus joint sealant; 5,000-hour accelerated weathering test shows no chalking or discoloration.
Seating treads with bush-hammered finish and rolled anti-slip grooves, anti-slip grade R11; wet-state coefficient of friction ≥0.68, meeting stadium safety standards.
Seating tread-riser joint ±0.5 mm; treads have a 30 mm anti-slip nose and a 20 mm drainage channel at the back, overall flatness ±1.5 mm over 3 m.
Curved seating sections were five-axis CNC profiled, arc-length tolerance ±2 mm; joints sealed with wet-dry separation for double protection against rainwater ingress.

Each event draws 50,000 spectators in and out; ordinary stone easily chips, cracks and dulls under shoe impact and high-frequency foot traffic.
The seating bowl is 100% outdoor, exposed long-term to UV, acid rain, thermal cycling and freeze-thaw; ordinary stone chalks, discolors and cracks.
The stadium hosted 60+ events a year; works could not affect the season, and noisy trades had to fit into gaps between events.
Poor seating-bowl drainage during storms can easily cause spectator slips; ordinary 30 mm seating stone cannot satisfy both load-bearing and drainage.
