A 4,200 sq ft whole-house residence in Hong Kong's Peak Southside, fitted out by HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED with three prestigious stones - Calacatta Gold, Statuario Extra and Nero Marquina - from quarry selection and factory book-match layout through night-time hoisting to on-site installation, all delivered in 11 weeks.
The owner wanted natural marble to run through the entire home, creating a calm yet luxurious continuity. The living-room TV wall uses Calacatta Gold in a four-panel book match, gold veining unfolding across a milky ground; the master bathroom walls and floor share the same book-matched stone; the dining feature wall turns to Statuario Extra, while the study and living-room coffee table are accented with the black-and-white drama of Nero Marquina.
HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED delivered the full chain - quarry selection, slab procurement, CNC fabrication, book-match layout and on-site installation: 28 slabs of single-vein Calacatta Gold numbered for matching, six-face nano protection, and - because of Peak road restrictions - dawn-staged hoisting, finished with full-area grinding and crystallisation to ±1.0 mm flatness.
Three prestigious stones, each with a clear role: Calacatta Gold book-matches across the living-room TV wall and master bathroom for the project's visual centre; Statuario Extra dresses the dining feature wall, quiet and refined; Nero Marquina accents the living-room coffee table and study with black-and-white contrast. Every slab passes 68 quality-inspection steps before leaving the factory.

Six stages from survey to handover: 3D laser scan of the whole residence, same-quarry slab selection, factory CNC fabrication with book-match layout, six-face nano protection, night-time hoisting, and on-site installation with full-area grinding. Peak road limits leave only a 2-5 am hoisting window, and every step carries its own data standard and signed accountability.
3D laser scanners swept the 4,200 sq ft residence zone by zone, building a point-cloud model overlaid on the drawings to resolve structural deviations early and set a precise base for book-matching.
Twenty-eight single-vein Calacatta Gold slabs were chosen at the Italian Carrara quarry and numbered by veining, so the living-room TV wall's four-panel match stays continuous with no break.
Five-axis CNC and high-pressure waterjet cut to the 3D model; book-match layout and numbering were done in the factory, with piece-by-piece install drawings so the site installs with zero trial and error.
Every slab received a six-face nano protective coating against the high humidity between the hill and the sea; anti-mould joint filler stops mould and discolouration at the source.
Peak roads are narrow with a short night window, so purpose-built A-frames and staged 2-5 am hoisting delivered slabs smoothly while avoiding traffic peaks and neighbour impact.
On-site installation used 45 degree mitre joints and seamless closing; after full-area grinding and crystallisation the final flatness is ±1.0 mm with gloss above 90°.
The hard part of a whole-house match is joint precision and humidity protection: every slab was pre-assembled in the 3D model, then installed zone by zone; the TV wall was laid in book-matched segments with joints placed deliberately at veining transitions, so the panel lines are almost invisible to the eye.
The living-room TV wall is a four-panel book match with joints held within 0.5 mm; factory 3D layout and waterjet cutting keep the veining continuous like a single painting.
Wall corners use 45 degree mitre joins; after arris polishing the gloss matches the slab face, so corners read as one seamless surface with no visible seam.
Between hill and sea the humidity is high; six-face nano sealing plus anti-mould joint filler blocks moisture at the source for long-term stability.
Some zones were already occupied, so zoned enclosures, negative-pressure dust control and daytime quiet methods kept dust and noise to a minimum.
The foyer sets the first impression in matched marble, veining running from floor to wall and echoing the living-room TV wall as the starting point of the home's match language.
After installation the whole home was ground and crystallised to remove lippage and lift gloss; measured flatness is ±1.0 mm and daily care stays easy.
