In May 2014, HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED's first overseas warehouse officially commenced operation in Singapore. Stocking 60+ core varieties of ready slabs and emergency re-supply inventory, it cut emergency re-supply lead times for Southeast Asian project clients from 6–8 weeks to within 2 weeks — HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED's first step from 'shipping across the sea' to 'delivering on the ground'.
Around 2010, hotel and commercial-complex orders from Southeast Asia grew rapidly, but long cross-border re-supply cycles remained the biggest pain point: a single slab broken on site took 6–8 weeks to replace once fabrication, customs clearance and sea freight were counted in.
Located in a logistics hub, the Singapore warehouse stocked ready slabs and re-supply inventory of core varieties. With local distribution partners, it achieved delivery within 2 weeks to major cities across Peninsular Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand; in emergencies, air-freight re-supply could be compressed to 72 hours.
The warehouse introduced barcode-based inventory management at the individual-slab level; every re-supply slab was archived against the original batch color code, ensuring 'a replacement as good as the first installation'. These management standards were later replicated at every overseas node HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED established.
Starting from Singapore, HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED's overseas service network extended step by step over the following decade — this 2014 warehouse was the first cornerstone of that network.
Putting stock in the warehouse nearest the client was HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED's first step towards going global.
