Fujian Base Phase II Commissioned: Capacity for Profiles and Thin Slabs Takes Another Leap

In November 2022, Phase II of HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED's Fujian fabrication base was completed and commissioned. The expansion adds a dedicated profile workshop and a thin-slab production line, lifting total daily capacity from 3,000 to 3,600 m² — with the largest gains in profiled components and 15-20mm project slabs, banking capacity ahead of the 2023 order peak.

What Phase II Adds

The new hall focuses on two high-demand product families: first, a profile workshop linked to the five-axis CNC line installed in 2020, adding CNC profile lathes and multi-blade moulding machines that raise batch efficiency for columns, mouldings and balusters by about 50%; second, a project thin-slab line with automatic flipping and integrated back-sealing, dedicated to weight-saving curtain-wall and ceiling applications.

Phase II also expands smart warehousing: new high-density slab racking and barcode-based inventory raise stock-keeping precision to the individual slab and double picking efficiency for project re-supply.

The Order-Mix Logic Behind the Capacity Plan

HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED's order mix is shifting from 'mostly standard slabs' to 'standard slabs plus custom components in parallel', with profiled pieces taking a rising share in hotel and cultural-venue projects. After Phase II, the base can run 6-8 large projects in parallel delivery, providing capacity assurance for the Gulf and ASEAN project pipelines of 2023.

Says the production lead: 'Capacity planning must run half a step ahead of orders. The value of Phase II is not the extra 600 square metres — it is making parallel projects possible without them squeezing each other.'
