Slab Sourcing Specialist (Türkiye/Greece Line)
HK$22,000–36,000 / month + sourcing performance bonus
Buy marble slabs from Turkish and Greek quarries and factories (Denizli whites, Volakas, Thassos): plant slab selection, batch negotiation, container tracking and quality-claim handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships with 15+ partner factories in Türkiye/Greece and execute quarterly sourcing plans;
- Select and verify slabs at origin factories, locking color-code batches;
- Negotiate slab prices, cutting sizes and lead times; manage procurement cost and inventory turnover;
- Track booking, container loading and documentation, coordinating inspection & quarantine requirements;
- Handle arrival quality disputes and claims; maintain supplier quality scoring;
- Analyse origin-market price trends and recommend sourcing strategy.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in international trade, materials or languages;
- Languages: fluent English; Turkish/Greek preferred;
- Experience: 2+ years stone procurement or marble slab trading;
- Skills: slab quality judgement and color-code systems; L/C and T/T flows; international logistics;
- Attributes: strong negotiator, meticulous; able to travel to origin 3–5 times a year;
- Others: comfortable working independently overseas.
Bonus Points
- Existing Denizli/Volakas sourcing network preferred;
- Arabic or another third language a plus;
- ERP procurement module experience a plus.
