CNC 5-Axis Programming Engineer
RMB 15,000–28,000 / month + project performance bonus
Write and debug 5-axis programs for our Italian/German machining centers, turning architects' curved, carved and book-matched drawings into ±0.5mm real products at the smart manufacturing base.
Key Responsibilities
- Write 5-axis CNC programs covering columns, Roman columns, carvings, waterjet pre-milling and profiled line elements using CAD/CAM tools;
- Build machining models from detailing drawings, run interference checks, plan process routes and design fixtures;
- Supervise first-article trials and precision tuning; continuously optimise toolpath parameters for efficiency and yield;
- Collaborate with detailing, QC and planning teams to resolve machining difficulties and urgent drawing changes;
- Build a standard program library and machining-parameter manual to codify 5-axis know-how;
- Train operators on program essentials and safety rules.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or above in CNC technology, mechanical manufacturing or mechatronics;
- Experience: 3+ years programming and operating 5-axis machining centers; stone, glass or curtain-wall background preferred;
- Skills: proficient in at least one of Mastercam / HyperMill / PowerMill plus Rhino modelling; able to read English/Italian equipment alarms and manuals;
- Knowledge: understands stone material behaviour (hardness, grain direction, edge-chipping risk); familiar with diamond tooling selection and life management;
- Attributes: meticulous and responsible; able to accept two-shift patterns and peak-season overtime;
- Others: experience with GMM (Italy) or Homag (Germany) equipment preferred.
Bonus Points
- Roman-column / carving programming experience preferred;
- Able to read Revit/CAD construction detailing a plus;
- Experience commissioning new equipment a plus.
