Technical Director Named National Expert

On November 22, 2017, HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED Technical Director Zhang Jianguo received the "National Building Materials Industry Technical Expert" award in Beijing—the first stone processing specialist so honored. Key contributions: developing 5-axis CNC profiling technology (±0.3mm precision, used for Burj Al Arab and Venetian Macao); inventing prestressed mesh + epoxy composite reinforcement tripling marble flexural strength (Patent ZL201610456789.0); and pioneering diamond-wire wet-cutting with zero-discharge wastewater (90% dust reduction, 98% water recycling). Since 2008, Zhang has mentored 23 senior and 230 intermediate technicians through HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED's apprenticeship program and authored an industry-standard processing manual.

Twenty-Three Years of One Craft

Zhang Jianguo joined the trade as an apprentice in 1994 and rose to Technical Director, leading HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED's five-axis waterjet adoption, composite-panel innovation and the 68-node QC system. He is the first stone-processing specialist ever named a National Building-Materials Technical Expert, with the jury specially commending his thin-panel composite reinforcement method.

Beyond the award he cares about succession: his craftsman studio has trained 23 senior technicians, and HENGSHENG MARBLE S&T CO. LIMITED will open a trade training base with selected courses available to peers — skills shortage is an industry-wide pain, and no one wins alone.
